Katherine Heigl has opened up about growing up in "a White bubble." The actress also discusses how that realization has affected the way she raises adopted children who are multi-racial. In a recent "Firefly Lane", "Grey's Anatomy" as well as "Grey's Anatomy" actor Katherine Heigl shared she was not concerned about her skin tone, until she came across her adopted sister who was from South Korea. "I inquired of Meg whether she felt that she was treated differently when going out with our parents and the times she was out by herself. Meg replied, "Oh yeah, always!" Heigl said to her parents: "That was when I was aware of how foolish I had made me feel." The actor said she became upset, but she felt that she had use that anger to aid her adopted daughters. Heigl has a son of 4 years and Josh Kelley, her husband over the last 13 years. They took in Nancy Leigh (age 12) from South Korea and Adalaide (age 8) with a black complexion and was adopted in 2009.
